Do we REALLY want this man as President - Page 2

Well, personally I like Obama. I'd much rather see him elected than any of the other candidates. I don't care for Hillary Clinton, and I am afraid is she's nominated, the Democrats won't win, which is really sad for the country.

One thing I'll say is that Obama can't damage the country like the damage we've had under Bush's regime. I hope the USA can recover from the damage that has been done by the "Evil Doer" a/k/a Bush. I don't know how anyone can be worried about Obama, when we've been stuck with the Worst President in History these past almost 8 years. God help us, a mule would make a better President tha Bush.

Not the authors of the article I linked. At least that is not the way I read it.

In setting a goal of eliminating nuclear weapons in the world, Mr. Obama is endorsing a call for “urgent new actions†to prevent a new nuclear era that was laid out in January in a commentary in The Wall Street Journal written by several former government officials. The authors of the article were George P. Shultz, secretary of state in the Reagan administration; Henry Kissinger, secretary of state in the Nixon and Ford administrations; William J. Perry, secretary of defense in the Clinton administration; and Sam Nunn, a former chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

I would like to read the commentary in the WSJ..

Anyone been watching PBS this week. They asked WWII vets what they thought of dropping the big one in Japan.

It is ridiculous to assume that if we eliminated all of our nuclear weapons everyone else would.

I'm utterly disgusted that people (Germans/Europeans) expect me to defend Bush, because I find his actions indefensible.

Hey, if you don't mind a President that wants to have "dialog" with terrorists, you go for it. Me, I don't believe in appeasement but I know that many do.

Maybe we do need someone with less experience...errrr...in the BSing realm

Heck I'm thinking back to times where i was thrown into positions with little experience and a lot of demand. I survived, learned the ropes, and heck had people loving me. Hmmm...maybe I could be Obama running mate....:D I've always wanted to stand behind a podium, making a speech and have nothing but pajama pants and fuzzy bunny slippers on...no one would know....J/K to all of this.

I'm still planning on writing in Ellen DeGeneres for president

I like Obama, I really do. But I don't think he has enough experience in government. He has good ideas, but ideas do not always translate well into action. As much as I like the idea of a Nuc free world, I don't think it is going to happen.

And I'm writing in Dennis Miller.

Does anyone really truly believe that things will change for the better, changes that actually benefit the entire country, no matter who is elected as the next President of the U.S.?

Call me a pessimist but I don't. These people are career politicians who make their living as lap dogs for special interest. They don't give a darn about you or me.

A baboon could do a better job than anyone in Congress or whoever is in the White House.

Can't believe I am actually liking a comment from you. Yes it MUST, and Hilary and I thank you for your vote.
