http://www.holisticat.com/rawdiet.html

http://www.serve.com/BatonRouge/nutr...h_cat_food.htm

study about raw pork and animals .. hard to read but
http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=1076377
I beleive the same study broken down
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi....x?cookieSet=1

http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of-tapeworms.htm

http://www.katberard.com/hol_bonesandfood.htm

Here is a sampling

Now if outside the USA some pork is free of parisites then your just feeding a non digestable fat

If you want my opinion, raw pork is just asking for trouble whatever species you are

I really thought cats were not suppose to eat cooked pork either.

I've got a ham/pork freak here at home, so this is something I've researched! Jamie hates poultry, and only deigns to eat it if it's mixed with seafood or pork/ham. Hence the links.

Cooked pork is in quite a few cat foods - hills prescription foods I think? (which I don't feed). Over here, hi life do/did a pork and game wet food - it was in a variety pack, but I have a feeling they've changed the flavours now and don't do the pork one anymore. I did feed it to mine when I bought the hi life packs and I have given them very small amounts of cooked pork occasionally, but I'm not too keen on feeding pork at all, even cooked.

Thanks for the links.

I thought this was gonna be cooked pork and never to feed it to the cats....

I'd never give them raw pork to begin with. They get a bite or two when we have porkchops for supper.

Hmmm, don't think I've ever heard of a cat in the wild hunting down pig. I imagine it would be toooooo big for a cat to hunt.

RAW is a NO NO NO definately

Cooked ... most vets say no since the fat is not digestable and most humans dont cook it throughly enough... I added it in with Gigi based of oriental medicine in small amounts of grd and cook it and use a temp before decideing it is done

Several years ago, my roommates hosted a party and cooked pork. I did not know this but the guests were feeding pork to Buster because he was begging. Apparently, he ate and ate and ate so much pork that I thought he was going to die of a pork overdose. He looked so bloated afterwards and had a pretty bad spell of diarrhea. He couldn't even move because he most likely felt sick. He never had human food after that episode! Besides, pork isn't kosher and Buster is a Jewish cat!
