Okay. We usually feed our cats Fancy Feast but I've heard it contains some rather bad ingredients. Additional wet food is Fancy Feast, Whiskas (yes, I know, shame on me) packets and sometimes some Shiba. What is a good, not-too-expensive food that is good for the cats? It needs to be fairly widely available as the only pet shop around is extremely expensive. And secondly, what is a good kitten food for a pregnant/nursing cat?

Do you have a Wal Mart avaliable?

Their brand, Maxximum, isn't half bad. If there is no history of a Urinary Tract Infection, then Meow Mix cups(very fishy) are OK. Sheba is a complete food, so it is OK sparingly, but not a regular food.

You mean Sheba is NOT a complete food, right?

We use Sheba as an occasional treat, but feed Wellness wet and dry as the main food for our five.

Not particularly close, or close enough for convenience. Besides, my mom (i'm 14) doesn't support their products, for some reason, and doesn't buy them. Probably she's afraid because of all the contamination.

We feed (canned) - Friskies, Natural Choice, Nature's Choice, or Max Cat.

For dry its Royal Canin. I'd get the RC Kitten food to be feeding her while pregnant and nursing.

I only use the small cans of Fancy Feast for when we are showing Charlie - easy to just open the small can at the show without having to worry about leftovers.

We have a bag of Max Cat Nutro dry kitten that our old foster mom wouldn't it. Is it a good brand?
Also, how is Felidae? We got a sample of it and the cats loved it, but is it a good brand?

EDIT: Been looking it up, hows this: For dry, Royal Canin and for wet Hill's Sciende diet?

D'oh! Yes, I meant Sheba is NOT a complete food! Thank you for catching my mistake.
