I must have some kind of aura, cause I got another one. The kitten I found in the road in June was named Taz (for very obvious reasons) and is currently tormenting my two elderly house cats.
So last week I'm at the antique mall and a man walks up to the counter and says, "We found a kitten standing in the road...just standing there. We stopped traffic and my wife has it in the car. We're headed to the airport to go back to California. I don't know what to do, is there someplace we can take it?"
I called the vet clinic to see if they had anyone looking, which they didn't, but they called a woman who places cats. She said she'd take it and find it a home, but I had to keep it overnight. So...I take it home. Yellow snot, runny eyes, ears FULL of crap and a nice round wormy belly.
The next morning I call the clinic and ask if the woman who said she'd take the kitten was the one who stands in the grocery store parking lot with kittens in a kennel and tries to give them away. Sigh....
The clinic was short of vets and couldn't see him right away, so I just went in and got antibiotics, wormer, etc, and he's responding nicely. He's sweet as can be and going to be quite handsome I think. His coloring is very unique...a dark brown with a bit of orange striping visible in the light. The clinic said they'd help place him, but one of my friends is already quite smitten with him. Cross your fingers!
I'll get pictures soon.
