I was about to change my signature, and wham! I find there is no way to do it the way I am used to doing it. It looks like the only way to do it is to upload a custom image directly to TCS. Where do I find the old way add my signature? I went to the User CP, and then Edit signature, and the only option I see is to upload it directly to TCS.

Do you see the following options?

You should be able to put your URL into Option 1. Also, you can always clear out the signature area and use the IMG tag from Photobucket.

Yes, I see that with a picture of my present signature in the box. I've never seen that before. I don't switch on or off any editors, so I don't know what is happening. I'll see if I can find that WYSIWYG editor. What is it supposed to be set at, if I do find it?

The option for WYSIWYG is in the Edit Options of the User CP, at the very bottom under Miscellaneous Options. It should be set to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing".

Mine is set at that. I just checked. Have they changed the set up as far as the siggy's are concerned. I never got that page where it showed a pic of my signature and offered the upload, either from another website or from your computer.

I'm a little afraid to mess with it, for fear that I would mess up the text/link portion of my signature, and on this new version I don't see how to put of a link anymore. Also if I have to upload a signature to TCS, it will be automatically resized. I don't see with this new version how to link directly to Photobucket.

Oh well....I guess I'll just keep this signature forever. Nothing I can do about it. I haven't received email from TCS in a couple of months.

Could it be that I need to take away the WYSIWYG editor?

In that top box with your present signature in it from your photobucket account? Just put the photobucket address of your new picture in there instead and save it. I think it's basically the same. They just offer two options and it looks different.

OK, I found out what happened. I was used to working with the WYSIWYG editor in basic mode. So, I changed it from Enhanced back to basic, and I got the usual way I have been used to adding my signature. After I added the change to my signature, I went back and Enhanced the WYSIWYG editor again. In all the time I've been here, I had never had my WYSIWYG editor enhanced, and the enhanced version was just throwing me off.

I think I asked about a month ago, why I didn't have thosed ways to change text to Bold or in colours, and that is when I changed the setting of my editor to Enhanced. Now I know to just change it to basic to add a new signature. The enhanced version is too confusing.

My problem was WITH the boxes. It's much easier to do, without all of the boxes. At least it is for me. No way to misunderstand things, if you know what I mean. With the unenhanced version, you get only one box, and you don't have more than one option. You don't see a copy of your signature in a box. You just have a box where you put in the web address of the picture, as well as the text you might want to add to your signature. No 3 or 4 boxes to choose from, just one. It's plain, simple, and much less confusing. Although you have to realize that's the only way I've ever done it. I've never used the enhanced version. In fact this was the only time I'd ever seen the enhanced version.

In enhanced mode, I get a box that looks just like that one, with a picture of my signature in it, as well as the text that is below that. Then there is another 2 small boxes below that. One says you can get your sig directly from a website and it has the http: on it, and the other as the Brouse option to upload it from your computer. It also says belowe that, that your signature must be 100 x 500 and 29 bytes in size. I noticed that in the large box with the signature in it, that it those little thing around it where you could resize it by hand or cut it. However, I didn't see anything where it says in red, "place link here". Of course, I didn't cut the old signature, either. I was afraid of messing up the text link to my webpage.

In the "basic" mode on none enhanced mode, you only get 1 box, and you see the link to your signature, no pictures, and no other options on how to get your signature. It just seems easier on the basic mode, because all you have to do is erase the old photobucket link, and put in the new one.

I had never seen the version with the three different boxes and alternate ways to add a signature until yesterday when I went to my User CP to change my signature, and that is because I had changed my WYSIWYG editor had been changed to Enhanced. I changed it about a month ago, so that I could have the options of bolding my text and so I could add smilies, et et. When I switched the Editor back to Basic, I was once again able to see the simple basic box I was used to. After I changed my signature, I went back and changed the editor back to Enhanced.
