Check out Bustopher, he ain't got no tail!

He's my latest foster kitty. He had surgery to fix his bum & get neutered on Wed. He hasn't pooped yet.
So, he's with me until he poops & then we'll see what happens!

He's really friendly!

Check out his back paw, there's no hair on it in spots!

He has no tail, just that little bit of hair that sticks out.

This is him now:

Well, actually, he's stretched out his leg & his head is hanging off the chair. I think he's adjusted well, don't you guys agree?

ETA: Not sure where the name came from, I purrsonally think it's dumb. The vet clinic named him.

how cute is he!!! Nat- it can take between 7-10 days after surgery sometimes for them to have a BM. Just watch him closely for any signs of complication from his surgery.

Thanks Nikki! The vet never said a time frame for him to poop.

OMG
I love tail-impaired cats!!!

Is he an actual Manx or was his tail amputated? His back legs look longer than normal so I'd guess he is an actual Manx. If so, he's called a "nubbie".

Prior to Stumpy (half tail) being our alpha cat, we had Max (full Manx) as our alpha. They have the cutest little butt wiggles in the world!

Bustopher Jones is a cat from T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, which the musical Cats is based on.

That little fluff for a tail reminds me of my parent's dogs' tails. So cute! I hope he's doing well and that he gets his, er, 'functions' back again.

Well, he pooped.
It stunk, & was loose enough to drip from him. I had to leave him at the shelter today the diarrhea was so bad.
But, he is being placed on Petfinder as a Manx/DSH X. He has NO tail whatsoever!

A funny story about my OTB Manx. The first time I brought him to my vet, he was going to check his stool for worms. He would always take them in the office rather than having me bring it in. He goes to grab for his tail and says "oops - how do I do this with no tail?" Then he giggled. Then told me he hasn't had a lot of Manx's and needed to learn a new technique.

I love red cats. I love Manx's. You've got yourself a winner there!!

So, was I right labeling him a Manx/DSH X? Or should I just label him a Manx X?
