Hey all,
its been a while since ive been on here. since then i have gotten a new little baby. she is a 4 month old tortie. her name is Minnie. Her and Sassy are getting along great. they chase each other around all the time. my poor neighbor that lives downstairs must hate me because they sound like a heard of elephants when they are running around.

anyways, next week monday they are both going to the vet to get a blood panel done and then the following day they are both going to get spayed.
do you think it is better that i am getting them both done on the same day or would it be better to schedule them on diff days.
my thinking behind getting them done on the same day was so that when one is still recovering the other wont want to play and bother the other.
also how do i keep them from trying to chase each other around when they get home? i dont want them to play and then rip the stitches or anything.

i guess i am just a nervous meowmy. any advice would be great!
thanks

You may need to put them in separate rooms when they get home. While most kitties are sleepy after anesthesia, occasionally it has the opposite effect and makes them hyper. I would be prepared for that by having a room set up to confine one kitty away from the other just in case.

young kitties usually recover very fast, ready to race around from the second they get home.

Probably best to separate them.

i woudl have them done on the same day, it is easier with witholding food and the vet smells then. Not sure about separating, but worth having a separate space just in case.

I'm having my boys done on the same day. The vet rec. it that way since I won't have to worry about witholding food to one and not the other, recovery, etc...
