It is greyish in color and right beside her tooth, the size of a pencil eraser. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? This morning is the first I noticed it.
She has an appt at the vet today. I just want some guesses/knowledge on what I could be dealing with here. She has been eating all canned food the last couple days.
Well Manic is missing quite a few teeth. Which I figured as much since my sis told me she lost some. It is a growth where her tooth used to be. They told me to keep an eye on it for right now since it is not stopping her from eating and they were able to touch it without her minding all that much.
I asked them for estimates on getting it removed. The high end estimate is almost 500 bucks for a cleaning and to get the growth removed. That is the estimate I am gonna go on cause it includes the extra examinations and stuff. Here is the thing though they think Manic is more like 15 years old.
I am going to keep an eye on it for right now however I would like to get the above done.(cleaning and removal) I am not sure about anesthesia though with her age. What are y'alls opinions on this?
If bloodwork shows that she is in good health, I would go for it. Their teeth don't get better or cleaner without dental work.
I'd strongly consider having this done now rather than waiting. She's not going to get younger, and cleaning and taking care of tooth problems can prevent bacteria from getting into the bloodstream.
