I looked for him this morning under my bed...
no Big Ben...

There are not many places to hide in my room... my dresser is flat to the ground... cant get under there...

My sliding closet doors have been bullied open... to the point where they are OFF THE TRACKS! *woah!* <how did I not hear THAT in the middle of the night!>

I open the door & am greeted with an angry Big Ben *HISS!*
... awe... poor scared kitty. I sweet talk him... while gently moving things out of his way... I am able to reach in and pet him & he is ok with that.
I had brought him up some REAL canned kitty food and I wanted to show him, so I tried to 'gently' pick him up to show him... not easily done with one arm with this guy... this is my first time picking him up. He did not struggle...
this guy is big & heavy... not fat... just BIG.

I put him down by his food... I stood up closed off the closet turned around and *poof* he was gone again.

I enjoyed my few moments with him this morning however.

The previous owner said to my husband when she went out of town for an extended peroid of time, he stayed at her friends house, he spent a week in the closet, but then came out after that & played with her kitty and was playful, friendly and fun... so... it'll come soon.

What a beautiful cat! I'm looking forward to seeing some current pictures of him. Why in the world did his former owner keep feeding him tuna? Didn't she know anything about cats?

He still hides, he is just starting to eat a little bit... so that is a good sign. I think I'm going to go up and try to sneak a few photos right now and see waht I can get

Nope, he's only been here 3 days. He's still quite scared. He's 3 years old. Has never lived with any other kitties.

WELL... I take that back... MY kitties... I think have their suspicions... Horatio & Yuki I think know... with my room being all of a sudden shut off... that there is someone new in there... (that's how Max appeared) LOL! & I see them digging a sniff under the door all the time & the poor things *mewing in the hallway* I dont know if its more why can't I come IN... OR if its... WHO IS IN THERE!!?!?!?! LOL!

I want to give him some more time to settle in before sending in the troops

HE WAS hiding in the closet... I finally got the closet closed off (my closest probably isnt the safest place, I have stuff stored in there) He has been staying Under the Bed... but his new place is under the covers ON the bed... that HAS to be an improvement RIGHT?
I am able to pet him for a short while before he slinks away & wants to hide back under the blanket.

I'll be posting some photos I caught of him in just a second... not the best photos... he's not a happy camper yet... he's still scared, poor guy... but I know he'll come around...
