At that age kittens like to "Attack" their mommy and play with her. Maybe she was just playing too rough.

I'm sorry for your loss. I wish there was more help I could offer, but I don't really know what to advice about that.

Are they eating solid foods yet, and using the litter-box on their own? If they are, I would seperate them from mom when you can't be around to supervise them.

it sounds like fks (fading kitten syndrom) im afraid there isnt much that can be done about this , you might lose them all. i would get a vet appointment asap incase there is something your not seeing if it isnt fks then it could be something else that can be treated.
please keep us all updated, and i prey that the other 5 kittens will live long and happy lives. RIP to the 3 little ones.

its a bit like cot death in babies SIDS but in kittens instead. no one really knows why it happens, sometimes it can be a problem inside, or a number of other things. its just one of them sad things that can not be explained.

Please check out this link. http://www.propernutrition.com/pet.html Make sure that you read the article from whole dog journal on the seacure. It has worked miracles for fading puppy syndrome so wonder if it would be the same for kittens. I get it at a high end pet food store. I give it to my cat, my pug, and myself and husband. It may be worth a shot. I'm very sorry about the kittens.

What does the vet say? I would definitely have them vet checked. It could be something as easy to treat as worms. Is the Mom cat up to date on vaccinations? Is this her first litter? If not, how far apart are the litters?

I had a foster cat lose 3 out of a litter of 5 kittens. She had 3 litters in 6 months, and I just don't think she could care for them. (The previous owner thought it would be cruel to keep her inside!)

Are you weighing the babies? If not, I suggest getting a small scale to weigh them on, so you can catch if one is losing weight and supplement with KMR.
