Don't remember the name. It's in the refrigerator.
I intend to take him back to the Vet.
He will be 6 months on Oct. 20th.

Throw out your old litter pans and buy two new ones. He is associating his pain with those pans and avoiding them. I just lost a dear sweet cat to this disease. Be careful about treating him with to many antibiotics. Instead push fluids in as many ways as you can, stop feeding anything with seafood in it and switch to canned food not dry. Prowler was only three years old. She died this morning from complications of FLUTD

I see you made it!

I agree with throwing out the old litter pans. I know I've asked you this before, but do you have one more box than you have cats?

I'd get his urine re-test ASAP. Kittens who get UTIs tend to have lifelong problems with them. And Prowler's the new kitten....so he's been through a lot of stress lately & that can cause a UTI.

Has he gotten every last dose of meds? If pills, he isn't spitting them out & hiding them somewhere? If liquid, he isn't spitting it back out or barfing it up later, is he?

What complications led to your cats death? Mine is acting really really weird now that she is on the UTI medicine and appears to be sicker (as I posted in a new thread)

I am so sorry about the loss of your baby!

Antibiotics usually are given in the duration of about 14 days. At least in my experience. It is very important to get kitty retested to see what her pH levels, WBC and RBC counts are. Your vet should know when it's best to do this. But if kitty seems sicker, I would definitely call the vet.

Sometimes more than one round of antiobiotic has to be given as well. Sometimes, different antiobiotics, if one is not working. It can be a frustrating experience. It's paramount to keep in touch with the vet. I was at my vet's office about every other night last week, as my cat could not tolerate the meds given to him. I was there to pick up more or different meds.

Hissy...I am very saddened to hear of your loss.
