You should hear something soon. Summer would never have enough for a sample....even though I've given her lots of water via oral syringe before going. Hope Dr. Claw feels better soon!

Don't feel bad...I feel the same way when I had to leave Lexi twice so they could get a urine sample from her since her bladder is always empty. I hate leaving them, but I'm always excited to go pick them back up. She is finally over her UTI.
I hope all goes well with Dr. Claw.

This wouldn't be so bad if 8-Bit wasn't looking for him the entire afternoon. He's been pacing and meowing up a storm.

I never knew they were so attached.

Maybe you should sneak up there and pop up beside the cage and go "BOOGA BOOGA!"

Sending vibes for prompt and successful elimination...

Is that how you get your's to poop when they are constpated?

Heather, I'm still thinking of Dr Claw and sending pee vibes...have they given him any IV fluids to help fill his bladder?

Not yet... I'm going to suggest it the next time they call.

I know how you feel. I had to leave Popsie last week for his enema and it killed me. Good thing he only had to stay the day. I don't think I could handle leaving him a night. He was so happy to see me when I picked him up

If he does wind up having a UTI - ask your doctor about using Baytril or Doxycycline to help treat it.
Both are really good options that seem to have fast results in many cases

Also, if need be- they can give him a Sub Q iv or regular IV and get some fluids going in him if he won't drink water then do a quick bladder stick (needle goes in the abdomen to draw urine out of the bladder- sounds horrible, but it's really not so bad and is done fairly quickly- it may be less stressfull for them to do that than to keep him overnight if being in a strange office might spook him worse. ) Whatver happens- i'm sending tons of good vibes his way for him to feel better soon!!!

Thanks for the vibes everyone. He's staying over night.

Dr. Claw is on strike. He won't drink, eat, and every time someone passes by his cage he growls. In short he is not a happy kitty.
