Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, living in Miami, FL for
Many many years ago my siamese gave birth to beautiful kitties, and I remember her taking them, one by one, to be out in the sun for a little while, then back to the box ( an open suitcase, inside my closet

Should I take my 2 little 6 week old orphans out a bit too?

I guess I could even arrange to enclose a small corner of my backyard and let them play in the grass.... Weather is getting nicer now, not too hot in South Florida, USA.

I honestly don't know the answer to the question BUT I personally DO let my kittens out into the sun for 10 min stretches a day...

No logic to it , but I think all living things need to see the sun occassionally!

As long as they have access to windows (you can open them a little if you have good screens), cats DON'T have to be physically outside in the sun to get benefits.

I've had many cats that lived their entire lives inside the house (other then showing) and never set foot on the grass to get direct sun.
