Pumpkin has been doing so well using her litter box. We have had her 7 days now and have taken her to the vet. She got a thumbs up while there; but she was trying to pee in my daughters room tonight twice..so of course I picked her up and redirected her to her litter but she just tried to pee again in my daughters room and she dribbled blood!!!

Do I call the vet now or tomorrow first thing???

What could it be??

How old is the cat/kitten? Sounds like a possible blockage or crystal. Is this a cat that just had kittens? Maybe its leftover blood from delivering?

I was just looking at another of her posts. Pumpkin is a wee kitten.

Probably a UTI.

Well, Pumpkin did well through the night and she was trying to pee all over the place this morning but no more bloody pees. I got her into the vet and he dx her with a UTI going on what I told him with the bloody pee and peeing outside of the box. He was concerned though with her being so young to have a UTI already..he said it is not normal in kitten this young (The vet could not get a urine sample from her nor could I catch any to bring in so he gave us antibiotics and gave her a shot in the office).

He suggested the additional litter box thing since she was not urinating in her box (but she was still going to it for BM's) so she would have another place to go instead of on the floor.

It and the antibiotics I have given her worked like a charm already and she just now even pee'd in her old box after I took her to the new box to pee..she stepped out and walked over to the old box and just pee'd!

Yippee!

She is the best little pea ever!

Love my Pumpkin!!
