Last night the news talked of an oil company who got 200 cats to take care of their rat infestation in Africa and then killed off the cats!
Anyone know about this?

They were showing animal rights groups protesting so I guess some people gave them a piece of their minds!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
If you find out the name of the company, is there some way you can let me know? I know it's too late to actually do anything about it now, however, something like this can be prevented in the future. Because of what we do for our work, Gary and I have the ability to communicate directly with management. Even if it's not a domestic company. And despite how large the company is.

Thanks.

This is the newscast script from the local news. It just says texas based company...

ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTESTORS SAY SOME TEXAS-BASED OIL BUSINESSES KILLED MORE THAN 200 CATS AT A DRILL-SITE IN AFRICA. MEMBERS OF "PETA" AND "HART" ACCUSE THE COMPANIES OF USING THE FELINES TO GET RID OF RATS... THEN BEING FACED WITH A BIGGER PROBLEM OF CATS BREEDING OUT OF CONTROL. THE COMPANIES DENY BEING INVOLVED IN POISONING THE ANIMALS.

Sorry about the caps, they were already like this.

It was heartbreaking to see it because they showed photos of the cats (when they were alive)
