I think we bonded!

I've been holding all of the kittens, petting them, brushing them, and generally loving them up. However, none of them have really decided I was worth much yet...until today.

I was standing at the counter making macaroni and cheese for lunch. The kittens were all wandering around, generally making a nuisance of themselves. I heard a little peep and looked down to see Ditto staring at me through a heart-shaped hole in the footstool near me. I picked him up and stuck him near a pile of kittens (not sure how many, but there was at least three heads) to play.

After a moment, I brough the bowls of macaroni to the table. As I stood, Ditto saw me and scrabbled over, stopping in between my feet. He then put his itty-bitty paws on my ankle and stood up, staring at me and mewing to get picked up! It had to be the cutest thing ever. I picked him up and he snuggled into my hands.

Sorry for being a bit sappy...it's just at times like this I feel so thankful for being able to have cats.

We have had our kittens do that to our legs too, its the cutest thing. You really know they must love ya if they do that...

We are so thankful to have cats, we can never decide if we are lucky to have them or if they are lucky to have us, but we are just lucky to have each other

No, thats so cute! Thank you for sharing. It's little things like that I love to hear about. There is one kitten at the shelter I work at that climbs up a chair so he can dig his claws into my hip and rub his cheek all over me. I've never seen him do that to anyone else! I hope I can take him home with me someday.

Kittens really are the sweetest things. Ditto just did the meep thing on my ankle again...gah. I've fallen madly in love with every one of them!

I wonder if cats can distinguish the people who will really care for and love them from the others? There's one at the shelter near me that rubs against the bars of his cage to try to touch me every time I pass by him but he doesn't do that to everybody. Either way it's a touching thing, though.

How sweet! Molly and I bond each morning in the bathroom while i'm getting ready in the mornings.

Aw, that's so sweet....thank you for sharing it.

I have a habit of sitting at the kitchen table awhile in the evenings, doing architectural designs on graph paper (just for fun)... and every time we've had foster kittens in the house, they've always come over and ever-so-cautiously padded across my paper to put one or both front paws on my chest and mew up at me, wanting to be held. And of course, I'm gloriously happy to oblige.
