I see them all the time for dogs. I've come across two brands that I believe may work for a cat the size of T.C., The Ruff Rider and CHAMPION Canine Seat Belt System (which is my favorite of the two). She's in the 6 to 7 lbs range.

Does anyone use something similar to this to restrain their cats in their car or truck? T.C. enjoys rides in the Jeep already in both the carrier and just by sitting on the seat (with the top up). When the top comes down and just for the safety of it, I'll need something more than the leash and walking harness I have now.

Any help will be so appreciative!!!!

Thanks for the link, is it your own invention?

So anyone here have any experiance with it? It looks a little cumbersome? Has it been put through a crash test?

I don't have a "middle" belt as the Jeep is a 4 seater and all the belts are lap and shoulder, is this a problem?

Very interested!!!!

i also have a wrangler, and i looked all over for harnesses that would work with shoulder&lap belts. One suggestion that I got but never tried is to use those seatbelt things for little kids that make the shoulder strap come down real low, so it would be like a lap belt.
