I've been watching The War on PBS. I can't take my eyes off of it.

Sunday night, I watched the "Hillbilly" one and found it interesting. My biological father is from West Virginia.

I watched alot of the Hillbilly one, not all though. It was really good and I will watch it again.

I wasn't aware that the mountain people of Appalachia were instrumental in turning the Revolutionary War around to our advantage. Awesome.

I am sure they will rerun it sometime, but i dont know when.
As for the War one, for years i have seen those old movies, of events and, i always wonder what happend to those people. From the new shorts they used to show before movies.

I saw the same one , where a army guy is helping a young women whose face is covered in blood, I just would like to know what happen to her. I have seen that one, more times then i care to remember.

those where the folks they had to teach how to be in the army.
hunters and such make great marksmen, but not so good when it comes to fighting as a Unit.

My Pops (stepfather) is from Arkansas and spent 26 years, in the Marines. The Marines love getting those Southern country boys, as most of them grew up hunting and can hit whatever they're aiming at. The same goes, for hillbillies.

I'm going to head over my parents house and catch the rerun of tonight's episode of The War at 2am. I don't have cable so my picture is a bit fuzzy.
