hi all i saw this homemade kibles recipe and i was wondering if it's a good idea to feed it to cats and if it's better than commercial ones
the recipe contains whole wheat flour, soy flour, wheat germ, corn meal,non-fat milk, brewer's yeast, a can of mackerel
cod liver oil and veg. oil

i don't know ,, i have my own doubts about the ingredients but i'll wait to see your opinions

Seems like a lot of work to make homeade cat kibble. It might be easier just to find a good quality food for your cat then to do all that work making it. You can find commercial food that is good for your cat...just got to look around...

Commercial foods have all the proper ingredients in the right quantities. They are healthy for your cat & easy! Just do some research on cat food & what ingredients to look for in a good quality commercial food

Heres a website about cat food: http://www.peteducation.com/article....articleid=2660

Katz4Life gave you good advice there, and that's a good link for everyone to read to get CatFeeding101 information -- good to review, too, even for those who've fed cats all their lifetime!

Personally, I feed Nutro Complete Care and Nutro Max Cat dry, along with Solid Gold Katz-n-Flocken dry, plus various wet foods; hopefully you have a Petco, PetsMart, or other "pet" supply store nearby from which to buy high quality foods for your feline family, but if you don't and you're in the us, you can go to http://www.DrsFosterSmith.com and check out their online shopping program, or http://www.Petco.com or http://www.PetsMart.com for theirs. GOOD LUCK! and remember, if introducing a new food to always add it gradually to the current diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the old until your cat eats nothing but the new.
