For Taylor, victim of murder...

So, my heartfelt plea is that all of you who care enough to express condolences on this world's loss of yet another precious kitty will be inspired 2 get the word out to anyone trying to re-home a cat that there are dangers that we catlovers cannot imagine
Godspeed over Rainbow Bridge, Taylor - I am glad that you are safe now and in our Master's care. I am so, so sorry for you and the other 2 victims of Mr. Patterson - your families were doing what they thought was best for you, and their dearest hopes are now smashed. Through your suffering and terrible sacrifice, a criminal has been caught, preventing God only knows how much future suffering - may your reward over RB be greater than what you have endured. That is why I refuse re-home my cat, no matter what!!! Two years and 20K is not enough of a punishment I think that crimes like that should be punished according to what they really are, which is murder!!!! People that can do that to an animal could just as easily kill a person, so I say go ahead and kill them or lock em up for life!

I didn't read the article -- I couldn't, quite honestly, in spite of years as an animal advocate. It breaks my heart every time, and I need to stay strong, because I'm all my babies have. But I echo your thoughts and prayers 100%; for Taylor and for all of the unknown, unnamed, but every one precious, every one loved, cats out there, betrayed at the hands of the cruelest of the cruel, the most ignorant species of all -- our own. Every minute I am praying for us to evolve as a species to the point where atrocities and violence are unknown. We have a long, long way to go.

thats disgusting!! That man is extremely disturbed. Everyone talks about spaying and neutering your animals. Some people need to be spayed and neutered so they dont produce offspring like them!

I shouln't have read it either... I am in tears. What kind of sick mind could do such a thing... & in a few years he will be released back into the public only to what... do the same again... but what next, move on to people? That's how it excilates isnt it?

Well said, I cannot even imagine the horror those poor babies went through! RIP sweet babies!

That is so sad and disturbing.
I can't even imagine how someone in their right mind could do something like that.
I'm just glad they caught him and were able to rescue that little kitten and puppy because God only knows what he would have done to them.

Some people are just SICK. Period.

Someone who had to rehome a cat shouldn't have to go through that. By the sound of it, he was a loving man who wanted a better life for his pet, and this is what happened to him.

It's absolutely disgusting, and hopefully jail gives him what he deserves. It's a shame he doesn't have longer in there.

I hate to say this but in all my reading and studies I have never seen one person get the full sentence! I bet he's out in a couple months with the "note" of never being allowed to own another pet. But if anyone does the newspaper thing, and doesn't do background checks he could very well end up with another one. That sick man should be put through the "eye for an eye" thing. Thats the only thing that seems fair to me. Those cats did nothing wrong and what a terrible way to go... Poor babies!
That man ever ends up in my town and he will be a sore man, missing a few bits n pieces which will be put in the garbage disposal! FIX THAT!

I cant decide if Im more angry at the man or more sad for the kitties!!

I am so sorry for beautiful Taylor and the other two kitties.

It's so hard to be a cat rescuer and trying to find homes for the cats. I made a mistake and gave six cats to someone I trusted on another cat rescuer's word. It turned out she was giving them to a group that euthanized. My friend who had recommended her called me and told me. I still haven't completely forgiven myself.

These innocent beings deserve so much more from us.

My mom once gave two kitties to a man she interviewed and all, but she didn't ask me about him! I knew he was fresh from the pen and told her to get them back! She didn't do it soon enough and his kids put one of them in the oven.... The world is full of sick people, thats the worst part...

Damn! and YES there is a VERY special place in HELL for people like that man. it just burns me up RIP meow meows at the bridge all happy & no longer in pain..
