A few adoptables

T___T omg i would take them or at least foster them until they get a home, but i don't think my dad will be too thrilled with me getting another cat let alone 2. Is there no other way the shelter can save them? steve is positively adorable. Also would it be possible if i managed to find someone here willing to adopt them to ship them?

Also i agree what could have possibly happened in 30 minutes? what they weren't ready to play at the drop of a hat? sigh

No shipping. If you wisht to adopt, you must drive here to adopt. We also do not foster over long distances, it never works out well....because the animal is never there for our open hours and never seen.

We're working with a rescue who is taking like...12 cats/kittens Saturday...which will help. We've got 5 going to farms by Sat. So, we are a little better off. We shall see how things look after sat!

30 minutes ???? have they ever had any animals???

Oh stupid people abound here. And they reproduce very fast. I was shocked for about 30 seconds, then it was like every other person who has made it a day or less, perhaps a few days, before the new pet hadn't settled perfectly.

I am glad that you have someone willing to help out with the animals, and some going to farm homes, at least it takes a bit of the pressure off you.

Flash got adopted!!! Hopefully, it works out for her!

Captain was also adopted!

And Lonesome went to a rescue!

We adopted out Captain & a kitten today, in addition to 14 going to one rescue. And we've got a good home lined up for the Seal Point Siamese boy we've got. In addition to an application in on a kitten & a senior couple interested in cats(hopefully, I can talk them out of kittens).

How are Mama and Steve doing? I really hope they get adopted into a loving home where they can stay forever. I feel so bad for those two.

They're still there. A couple of people met them, but decided against them because Steve is LH. The couple who took Flash loved Steve & Mama, but weren't sure how to care for one cat, let alone two.

Mama and Steve will forever hold a special place in this volunteerâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s heart. After being bounced around so much, these two are still as wonderful and loveable as ever. Mama is front declawed, spayed, and housetrained.

Steve got groomed...he kept smelling his feet.



We put a "shelf" in their large dog crate ("home" to them) by using a crate divider turned on it's side. They love it.

Hello, my heart goes out to all your cats; I will have a house next year & will have lots of room for more cats. I have 2 now in a 2 bd. room apt. and they run out of space to play.I know a year is a long way off; but keep me in mind. I will keep your cats in my prayers. Bless you for all the good you do.

Aww, they are absolutely gorgeous, I do hope someone comes for them soon, I hate to think of older cats stuck in rescue. I have to admit that we seem to struggle with pairs, we split up a pair of 11mo siblings last week, and i doubt the three I have here will go together, fortunately they aren't too bothered by each other.

I wish there was more that I could do than just hope with all my heart that they find their forever home.

So, many llloooonnnngggg months ago I posted this thread. Steve & Mama were added October 14, 2007.

After 8+ months of being up for adoption, those two go home Saturday.

It will be so weird to go to the shelter & not have them there. We all wanted them adopted, but wanted to adopt them ourselves but simply couldn't. A gentleman applied for cats, specifically wanting adult/declawed & looking for 2 cats. We all think he will be a good owner & his references checked out.

Saturday will be a truly bittersweet day. I'll probably my eyes out

I know it will be bittersweet for you, but so pleased that these two finally found their forever home.

i'm sending tons of that these 2 have finally found the loving forever home they so desperately need.

i know it will be sad for you as you are so obviously attached to them. it's kinda bizarre that now the time has come that you have been praying for, it's a mixed bag of emotions you are feeling.

Oh, I'm sooo happy for them! I hope all three are super happy together! Yay for Steve and Mama!

I hope for them that this home is worthy of them which I am sure it is. I am sorry for your sadness though.

I just read this whole thread, and it is so sad! I am SO glad that Mama and Steve finally found a good home! It is so terrible how many times they have been returned to the shelter. I hope they have a great life with the gentleman who is adopting them.

You are a very kind person! I am very impressed by the many people who foster cats, rescue cats, and work with rescues and shelters on this forum. You are all wonderful.
