There's been a crib recall on "Simplicty" cribs manufactured/made by "Graco." They've recalled over 1 million of them. Definitely check your baby cribs if you have a little one and make sure it's ok. They've had several deaths as a result of these cribs not having the drop side installed properly.

(there's a list on the styles/etc of cribs that are affected in the middle of the page when you scroll down)

At least you know what to look out for now and can prevent something from happening though and get a diff crib or do whatever you need to do to keep her safe!

I saw that report. What got me was that the company has been involved in other recalls of its products.

That's what gets me too- they're entrusted with the lives and safety of infants all over...and they have such lax standards on things like this and it took THAT long to have the recall issued. (they've been making those models for years now.) It's unacceptable. When I have children, i do not plan to use any of their products for those reasons as well.

aww i hope that's not the case and it's just a similar looking model. if not though- there are several other good brands out there that seem to be pretty reputable. I also think that if you call the company they will send you replacement parts/etc to make sure the crib is working right.
