Oh, goodness. I've had a bunch of animals growing up. My mom was really cool about letting me have critters.
I don't remember, but when I was pretty little, we had a cat and it actually gave birth to her kittens on top of me while I was in bed, with the blanket over me, of course. (My mom told me this)
As long as I remember, we've always had a dog or cat or both.
I've had:
fish
tarantula
ferret
hamsters
rabbits
ducks and chickens at the grandparents house
turtle (although Moma made me let him loose)

I'm not a reptile person, so I will not have a snake or lizard or anything.

Gerbils
Rat
Mice
Fish
Crayfish
Toads - saved a bunch of tadpoles from drying up puddle, and took care of them till they changed. Then let them go.

Salamanders
Lizards
Scorpions - saved a female scorpion from some kids that were poking it with a stick.
Since it was late Fall, the weather was getting cold, so I kept her over the Winter... and she had babies.

Turtles
Rabbits (how did I forget rabbits?
)

And btw - turtles are reptiles.
Actually one of the harder to keep reptiles.

I had a gold fish when I was about 5 years old.
I've had a couple of budgies.
We had 2 dogs (separate times) when I was a kid.
We also had some jack rabbits when I was small too.

Since I moved out and have lived on my own I've only had cats. I have no desire for any other type of animal.

It's pretty much been cats, cats and more cats. We did have a grey dwarf rabbit at one point when i was little, but it was getting hard to look after him and keep him seperate from the 3 or 4 kitties we had at the time. They were always sniffing around and trying to get in his cage when we'd clean it out. That was when they were always outdoor kitties.

I have been a second adopted mum to Rhani and Bella (tristans pups) and their chickens/ducks and noodle the guinea pig who passed away this year.

Here and there
2 dogs (one still living)
1 guinea pig
1 mouse

We probably would've had more animals except Lady liked being a only dog. She really liked it. Arthur the guinea pig wasn't actually ours, it was my sister's 1st grade's classroom guinea pig which we got to take home for the summer. Jack, my mouse, lived at my house for less than a day before he moved to my mom's boyfriend's house because Lady didn't like sharing he home. Didn't want poor Jack to have a heart attack! And Trixie, our first dog, was hit by a car less than a week after we got her. It was a horrible accident.

Actually, Trixie's death led to my belief that naming pets after previous beloved pets will cause them to die tragically. (She was named after my dad's favorite dog as a child.) So all pets should have their own names.

I have had all sorts of animals. I was lucky to have parents that both liked animals.

I have had dogs
cats
raccoons
chinchillas
guinea pigs
lizards like iguanas and those little anoles (sp?)
frogs
a horse
all sorts of birds
rats
mice
hamsters
rabbits
snakes

Hmmm thats all I can think of right now. I will add more later if I think of anything else.

We had 2 raccoons. They were named Ren and Stimpy and they were pretty young still so they were fun.
An experiance I will never forget.

The horse was named Emmy and she stayed at my grandmas boyfriends daughters house. She was beautiful.

The guinea pigs I had when I was younger and the last ones died in a house fire with their babies.

I think when I was little my parents had a conure...not sure what type it was. I have had finches and cockatiels. I raised a sparrow baby once. My dad used to have a african grey and he lives with my grandma now. I can't remember what other kinds.

My dad had snakes off and on while I was growing up so I was never scared of them but I wouldn't like to feed one myself so I don't see any in my future.

cockateels
African Greys

Might of missed some. All those but the cats and dog I had growing up living with my mother. I learned in that time I hate cleaning cages. So no caged animals for me.

Where whiskers abound.
Wow, some of you had zoo's

I have always managed to have cats. All kinds of strays came to my home. I saved a cat that was put into a dumpster. The neighborhood I grew up in did not have too many cat-friendly kids. I have seen and heard many stories about cats being treated poorly. I hung out more with the dogs and cats than humans. Back then, there wasn't a leash law so there were many dogs roaming around.

Let's see.....first I had a cat, then another cat, then another cat, then a couple of birds, then some dogs, then more cats, then more dogs, then more cats, then more dogs.

I'm stuck on cats and dogs!

I've had fish, hamsters, dwarf hamsters, rats, dogs and now cats. I never thought I'd become as obsessed with cats as I have, I always thought I was a dog person until I got Fable.
