Ok I will try to make it short sweet...I just moved and I was telling Rob thank goodness because I was sure we had a mouse at other place and I could never find it and with 3 cats none ever bothered the mouse... Well guess what I found more plastic blanket and brown bag chewed on in new house and I though great we brought the mouse with us well was wrong Taffy is doing it. He sleeps in a big cat carrier with a blanky he has to have.. There is no door he just loves to sleep in it... Well I went to wash the blanket and noticed he had little pieces of stuff he took from places... Sort of like a dog does. And he was in there so I took followed him like hawk the last 4 days he is the mouse... I never had a mouse I had a Taffy Rat.... So why would he be doing this how can I stop it r should I ha is 18 months old

He has a chewing obsession like a lot of cats will chew wool or hair or whatever -- I've heard it can be related to separation anxiety (being taken too soon from the mom and family) and I would think that giving him extra reassurance and affection sure couldn't hurt. Why not visit http://www.bestfriends.org (they're in Utah, too, in Kanab, in case you haven't heard of them!) and you can probably email or post your question on there. They have lots of experts and may be able to give you better information, if you don't get the answer on TCS...Good luck!
