Hello,

My kitty (Toes) is only 9 weeks old and she loves to give me kisses, however, I have a gnarly cold sore on my lip that just popped up last night. Could this be harmfull to my kitty?

Good question. Is is herpes-related? I know that cats can get herpes but I don't know if they can be infected from humans... maybe someone here will know. You could also phone your vet and ask (and please let us know the answer!)

The tech I work with said it has never happened before. We got to talking about it about a month ago. We were talking about the things that are transmissable either way. He knows his stuff, so I dont think I would worry about it. Next time you think of it, I would ask the vet.

Thank you Sandie and Anne! I am already taking her to the vet tomorrow so I will mention it to the vet just in case.
