I was bought some lillys a cpl of weeks ago and they have been sittin on my dining room table, my 3 month old kitten beau doesnt usually go up ther, bu i saw her spring up there last nite. i was told by a friend that lillys are very poisonous for cats if eaten. she was sick on sunday nite but other than tht appears to be her usual playful self. i have now thrown out the lillys...do i need 2 seek veterinary advise?

Lets hope she didn't eat your Lilies, because they are very toxic! Make sure to watch her constantly to notice any changes in her behavior...You may want to take her to the vet just to be sure...

"Easter lilies, and other lilies can be toxic to cats, causing kidney failure and death. All parts of the lily can be toxic, and eating just one leaf can result in severe poisoning. After eating a portion of an Easter lily, a cat will generally vomit and become depressed within 2 hours. The vomiting may subside, but the cat will not eat and continue to become more depressed."

Heres an article about Lilies:

We hope everything is okay with your cat
Update us on how shes doing!!

Take her to the vet...NOW!!! Lilies can cause a cat's kidneys to shut down. Better safe than sorry.

I agree, take her to the vet now. One of the symptoms is that vomiting stops, so don't assume the worst is over. If you get her to a vet now they may be able to give her supportive therapy (such as subcutaneous fluids) to help her kidneys.
