I agree that you might want to call the police. Even if it is not enough to arrest him (I'm not saying it is or it isn't), but maybe it will scare him and wake him up just to be talked to by the police. Jerk.

What an effing idiot he is. You're not thinking of something in the line of an assault charge? I'm so glad you got yourself out of that situation. The ahole probably has a history of domestic violence.

Wow. I'm glad you got out of that situation safely. He sounds like a horrible guy. There's a much better one out there, who WONT lay his hands on you or force himself on you.

I'm really glad you're safe. What an
!!! You should really consider notifying the police, even if it's just for "the next girl."

Thank you all so much. He knows the police in his town because he's on the volunteer fire squad so it won't do much good. And my bruise isn't very dark so not sure what they would excuse it with. I should have decked him but I was scared to. I simply told him to get out of my car and I locked the doors through it in gear and drove off. And I was so upset I don't even remember the drive home. Thank God I have my drivers liscences now. My sister teased me when I told her about it she thinks I am a loser magnet and I am starting to wonder this makes several of them here lately.

No, you shouldn't have decked him. You did exactly what you were supposed to do...get yourself as far away as fast as you can.

I totally agree that you did the right thing - who knows what would have happened if you had tried to "deck" him!!!
In my opinion you do not attract 'losers' - you have just been unlucky and you are also a very trusting person and are learning that it's very important to be in a public place when you meet with a new date. It's certainly understandable that you trusted a firefighter! Maybe you should ask for references (not so that the guy knows, of course) so that you can check with other girls to find out more about his character, etc.?? It's certainly not your fault!!! HE IS A TOTAL JERK!!!!

Sweetie- it doesn't matter who he knows or what he does for a living- he violated you and to try and prevent him from hurting you or anyone else down the road, the responsible thing to do would be to report it to your local police office. At least that way it's on the record that something happened- if he's capable of bruising your arm love he's capable of much more.

Honestly, he could probably get arrested for assault for that if he keeps doing that to women he dates.

Wow what a jerk. I probably would have called the cops if I were you. It's not right what he did. It'd definetely be considered assault. I just feel sorry for the next woman that ends up with him, she might not be as lucky as you were.

You really should report this to the police, and if he is a volunteer firefighter, you should report it to the fire department as well. This guy is in a position of trust, and doesn't deserve to be.

p.s. Pepper Spray really is your friend, and it works like a charm!

I think you did the right thing. Too bad you didn't accidently run over his toe when you were driving away.
