Hi,
I'm taking my kitty to the vet tomorrow to get a urinalysis to make sure his UTI is gone (been on clavamox for 2 weeks). I noticed he was drinking a lot and peeing a lot (although he was a new cat so I didn't know if this was abnormal for him) and then he started peeing outside the box, so off to the vet. Vet checked glucose levels (worried about diabetes) and bacteria and he had a UTI. Well now he isn't peeing outside the box and he seems much more comfortable, however he is still drinking and peeing a lot (pees atleast twice a day, clumps the size of a small fist), which i will tell the vet and have her check glucose levels again. He is a big cat (a bit overweight but i'm working on it.....15 pounds) so that may be why he is drinking and peeing a lot, but is there anything else I should get the vet to check for?? or is this normal in some cats??
THanks, sorry so long!
