I really need help on this :(

Hi, I'm a new cat owner, and I love my new cat really much!! But I got this warns from 5 people already, including my mother, that a girl sleeping with cat too often (I got three cats in a 3x3 room) will make her infertile (can't pregnant). Is this true? Because if that is true I won't dare to keep him

Common sense, hon. How could sleeping with a cat possibly cause infertility?
The answer is no, and no - cats cannot "steal" a person's breath either. Old wives' tales.

The only link I could possibly see as to what caused that one is the common (and very false) view that cat owners, especially those with multiple cats, are crazy woman who all live alone with their cats.

Lolol So true

I've never heard of anyone getting infertile from sharing a room with a cat/s. Just make sure your room will be clean, you may want an extra litter tray in your room if they will be sleeping there, that's if you have your bedroom door closed at night.

Yeah I googled and can't find any articles that relates cat and infertility - other than toxoplasma, which is preventable and only affect pregnant women.

Thanks!

You can sleep soundly with your new kitty because that will never happen

No, it cannot happen. If it were true, my mother would not have 5 children and my grandmother would not have had 10 children. Good thing you asked, though. I am sure many people wondered.

No it's not true. My Mom would have never had us if it was true.

OHHH please! Where do people get these ideas from????? Its not true at all. I'm sure that when you have a child, they would be the first to tell you to get rid of the cat cause "it will suck the baby's breath"......please don't believe such things.

Not true. I have been sleeping with cats since I was 4 years old. I have had three, health children. Glad you asked.
