My cat has had a mild limp for a couple weeks now. I figured he either got stepped on or jumped hard on it one day, but that he would heal himself. I kept an eye on it and it seemed like the problem was gone for a couple days, but it has not gone away. I don't like my old vet and the "new" vet i started going to a year ago never seems to be of much help.
So once again, I'm on the search for a new vet. My dad thinks my cat has arthritis... I doubt that because he just turned 2 years old.

My questions are these:
Can a very young cat get arthritis?

Is there an online recommendation of vets for orange country, CA?
He seems to be in no pain (eating fine, playing, running, jumping) its only when he gets up after laying down for a while that he limps. I have felt no swelling... I've checked his paw... he is indoor only cat.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if young cats can get arthritis. However, luxating patellas are a possibility. Also, some forms of calicivirus can cause limping, though I would think there might be other signs.

You can search here for Orange County vets.

I've never heard of such a young cat getting arthritis, but you never know. Some cats are supseptible to weird things. What you could do while your trying to find another vet, is maybe give him some glucosamine supplement. It won't hurt him if its not arthritis, but if it is, it should help.
He also might have hurt it like you said, and it started to get better, but once it stopped hurting, he started using it like normal again and re-injured it. I would try stopping him from jumping and running around alot for a bit and see if it helps.
I hope you find a good vet soon. Its always hard to find good ones.
