so can I humbly request a little Board Magic?
As many of you know, my husband has been out of work for about 2 years now. It started because of an auto accident, but soon just became habit, I think. I've been doing my best to keep us afloat on a secretary's salary, not altogether successfully. Now that he's finally decided to look for work, the economy is making it very difficult.
Anyway, he went to a job fair this morning (along with 15,000!!! other people looking for work) and had a quasi-interview with a military contractor here in Denver. They work on missiles, which is what hubby did in the military. He does have some past issues which they said they are willing to overlook depending on how much knowledge he has. The initial talk he had with them looks really promising, and they said that if he makes the cut they will call in the next couple days. The position could earn $75-100,000 per year, which obviously would take care of all our financial problems, as well as be a real career for hubby which would certainly help his self-esteem which has suffered with 2 years of no work.
Could I ask for some positive thoughts, energy and prayers for this or something else to come our way? I know it's not anything compared to what others are going through right now, but this would mean everything to us.
