I rescued a feral kitten last week, he was doing really well and I got the bright idea to deworm him. Since I did it (regret it) he stopped eating and just does not feel well. I am force feeding him KMR and ground wet food every couple of hours. He stopped playing and just sleeps. I am taking all my foster babies in tomorrow and I am thinking about getting him checked out. I donot want to freak him out. He came such a long way in a few days and was adapting quite well.
He acts like he wants to eat, sniffs it, takes a couple of licks and walks away. I even tried chicken breast. I feel really bad...should i give him a few more days ? Any suggestions or ideas?

Since you're going in anyway, I'd say take him too just to be safe. That's one reason I don't use OTC dewormer. Just never know what will happen. Lots of vibes for him and you.

Please take him to the vet. He needs to be checked out.

I was advised that it might not be such a good idea to take him to the vet...oh we named him TOBY...so i talked to vet about symptoms and he said it is stress. give him a few days and if he does not perk up bring a stool sample in and then as a last resort bring toby in.well ysterday he started eating again and spent most of the day in the family room watching everything that is going on. our nightly ritual is ..I whistle and all kitties know its time for a small treat before bed. Toby came also and ate his few treats.
So, i will keep a close eye on him. Hopefully he will continue to do better Thanks for the advice!!
