You are all making me feel very behind with mine! Esp as it has to go overseas
It's going airmail and the last posting date for where it's going (for christmas) is December 10th. I shan't be waiting that long though, and hope to get it sent next week. I'll then be keeping my fingers crossed it gets there quickly and that customs don't decide to open it. I'm also counting on my SS recipient not to study the customs label too closely as I'll have to list every item in the box!
Yeah, that's a bummer, isn't it. I try not to see the label on things I get from out of the country, so the surprise is not spoiled. I rather imagine we'd all rather have the surprise, so I count on my recipient not to look, as well. And I figure the more precise I am on the label, the less likely it is that Customs will feel a need to open it, which would be even worseOriginally Posted by urbantigers

I think most of us (myself included) ignore the customs label to keep it fun and exciting! We are all kids at heart I think, so it keeps us guessing the whole time!Originally Posted by rapunzel47

I haven't been on here much with school wrapping up and all, but I did get my SS sent out today!
Can you believe there was no one at the post office when I was there? I am still in shock. They said tomorrow would be the busy day. Glad I went when I did!!

Yipee! All is wrapped, packed and labeled. I missed shipping by 5 minutes, the post office here closes at noon. So I added more ribbons and labels and everything is a go for first thing Monday. Ahhh, the delicious feeling of accomplishment!
Edit: I put it in a room with the door shut so there will be no teeth marks or nibbled corners.
