Fortunately, we don't get kids on Halloween 'cos we're in an apartment. So we have a little tub of Halloween candy that's all ours!

When homemade SS gifts go bad

I've gone through 4 stockings trying to make the perfect cat paw and I have seriously no talent.

I'm going to show my first attempt so no laughing and yes I do know that when my gifts arrive it's going to be a dead give away. If signing my Christmas Card From Max, Sampson, Vanna, Trouble, Simon, Tigger, Pooh, Mia, Mocha, Takoda and Magnum doesn't give me away nothing will!

Check out this work of art!
It's the love that counts right?

So can we assume your SS has 4 cats?

You can assume but you would be wrong.
Those are my practice stockings. Or it could be that I have a gift a day for someones special kitty starting a week before Christmas. Than I still need to do 3 extra stockings if I include the squished turtle.

I was hoping to have everything together to ship my SS gift out when I'm in Hawaii next week.
I figured that would seriously throw them off. I'm not going to make it, though. I have a lot of it, but there's more to go than I'm going to get to in the next week.

Most of my SS's things are wrapped. But then I was lounging around a bit ago and realized I forgot one thing! It would be bad if I didn't get it into the package! But then I do like it myself, so I think I'd get over it!

Y'all are making me ashamed.

But I have a couple good excuses, k? First excuse: My wrist has been horrible so I haven't been able to work on the crafty thing. (Thankfully, I think physical therapy is helping a little now.) Second and BIG excuse: My mother-in-law is coming for Thanksgiving. This is the first time she will see OUR house, and the first time since we got married 7 years ago that she's been out here. So yeah...lots of preparing for that!

So, to my recipient...don't expect anything in the next couple of weeks.

Same here... working on a major item for my SS and I've been dealing with deadline stuff for mid-November (has to go to printer's no later than Friday), so that's taken up ALL my free time. Once this monstrosity is in the capable hands of the printers, I will have some free time... but I'm also trying to get a novel written (I'm one of those insane NaNoWriMo whackos), and I'm really behind on it as well. I tried getting this thing done before November, but the MEN dealing with the data I needed didn't get their collective acts together until this week. Deadlines are our FRIENDS! So, I can go back and forth between writing and my SS project. I'm ADD, so I can't sit at one thing for terribly long.

It'll get there by Christmas, that's all I can promise!!

Amanda
