I think I am done shopping also.
Now I will box it up so I don't buy more.
I won't be shipping until the end of November at the earliest.

I've been crazy busy and I haven't even started yet, lol. I have to go do some research and figure out what I want to send/buy.

Well, Most of what I ordered came to my office Monday while I was out of town. It all looks pretty cool... just need to add a few smaller things and some finishing touches and I'm ready to ship.

Would it be wrong to mail it now just to try and temp my SS over the the "early openers" dark side?!

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I have to find a few more cat toys/things for my SS, but the main gift for the human is something I'm making. I need a few more things for it and then I should be okay... It won't take THAT long to assemble... I don't think. Err...

I know I'm over budget... but hey, I don't care... I think she'll freak out when she gets it... in a good way. I hope. Let's just hope i don't royally screw it up...

A few more pieces... err... should figure out exactly how many more I need... argh!!

As for slippers, I've decided I'm going to start wearing them all the time at home, since even though I sweep what seems like twice a day, I'm STILL always walking on cat litter! That's the downfall of hardwood floors throughout the house, lol.
no silly girl, not real slippers- hehe look at the link below

Hehe I found the thread from last year when i made the pantyliner slippers

http://thecatsite.com/forums/showthr...light=slippers

My sister Kimmy's reaction to recieving the slippers was priceless! I have the funniest pictures of her laughing about them

Here's the letter i included with each pair

"Dear Dirty Santa Gift Recipeant:

Although it is somewhat embarrassing to admit, my annual bonus has been depleted and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you as your Christmas gift. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same for someone else next year, I've included the instructions below:

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:

- You need four maxi pads or panty liners to make a pair.
- Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
- The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
- Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.
- Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light day, and Get out the Sand Bags.

Please note, that included with this fashionable pair of slippers is a limited warrenty good for 1.6 minutes after opening the slippers. Should the slippers break, tear, loose their “fresh scent†appeal or no longer look gorgeous- they will be replaced by the manufactor at no cost to you. Please include a self stamped envelope and mail slippers back to:

Probably at work :(
Oh yeah!

I am getting the feeling that this is more for buying the cats gifts from some of the posts I've read. I've mainly got my SS"ee" items. I have a few cat things and will get more, but am I wrong? Please advise as this is my first year.

I normally buy things for my recipient with a few cat things thrown in.
We all spoil our kitties, so I like to spoil the owners.

To be sure, we don't want to leave the kitties out, but it's every bit as much about the humans.

Although I haven't bought much yet, I do have a good idea of what I'm going to buy. But there's no point in buying anything edible too early as I won't be able to resist eating it myself
And I'm waiting for the european xmas markets to come here as they have lots of lovely things and I remember wandering around there last year after reading the SS threads on here and seeing things that I would have bought if I'd been taking part!

I've finished wrapping, it's soo hard to wrap odd shaped things. I feel like i didn't get enough for them and too much for the pets. I'm no good at this ss thing

I'm trying to buy more for my SS than the cats.

Just another reminder for those in the US that are shipping overseas - International shipping costs have gone up dramatically since last Christmas. Be very conscious of weight when you are buying your gifts or you could be in for quite a shock at the post office.
