Nikki, I hope you have a strong willed person to hold out until Christmas if you mail it that early to someone inside the US. The pressure is so great to open the box!
If they do cave and open it early they have nothing to look forward to in December.
That brings up a good question... Providing our package doesn't have any perishable items in it do we HAVE to wait till x-mas to open them?!

I'm thinking maybe i should mail it the end of Nov so it arrives in Dec now.....so that won't be bad if they open it the beginning of Dec. I don't mind it

If you attempt to wait to open it until Christmas, you will meet with great opposition and chants of OPEN OPEN OPEN!

For those of you in the US who shipped to a SS in the US last year- about how much did it cost you to send your package? (i understand it goes by weight so it won't be an exact science until I get mine ready- but i was just curious!) Also who did you ship through? UPS, Fed EX, USPS??? Did you like their service/ policies and delivery time frame?
I ship priority and on ave about 10 $ shipping

I am thrilled with who I got

I think I received my package quite early the past 2 years. The first year I waited until my birthday in early December to open. I think I was even more bad last year.

(But I was told I HAD to open it - there were yummy treats in it, LOL!)

I try to have my parcel arrive at its destination in the first 10 days or so of December, so that it's not in danger of arriving late, but also isn't going to be desperately early and either tormenting my recipient or being opened too soon. Canada Post doesn't have holiday mailing dates on the website yet (or I didn't see them), but I'm guessing I'll need to have mine gone not much after mid-November. Whatever other gripes I may have had with them from time to time, they do predict delivery times pretty accurately -- even over the holidays.

Depending on when mine arrives, and whether there's a perishable warning on it, I might open right away or I might wait until about mid-December.

First, I've been on here for a little more than a year, so I HAVE to know how everyone knows everybodies real name? That amazes me.

But anyway...
