Hello from Arizona! (pics)

Hi everyone

I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally decided to join in! I live in Arizona (Phoenix area), married for 22 years and have 3 boys.

I have one cat, a 1-year old named Shelly. She is my fur baby we adopted from a rescue organization which adopts out cats at Petsmart. We've had her for 7 months and we love her to pieces! We got her only a couple of weeks after our other cat, Reina went over the bridge. We had Reina for 16 years, and I still miss her terribly. I hope to get another cat when we move somewhere larger, maybe next year!

Here's Shelly:

Here's Reina, who turned this formerly exclusively dog person into a cat person. I miss her so much...:

Hi and welcome to TCS! I am very sorry for your loss of Reina, she was a very beautiful cat. And Shelly is absolutely adorable, too!

Sometimes it helps to pay tribute to our lost baby's here "Crossing the Bridge" forum, where there are others there who completely understand your heartache.

Im glad you could join us, you will not find a better group of cat lovers.

Thank you for the welcome!

Yes, my Shelly looks long in that picture, but she's just a normal, everyday 10-lb. kitty. She just likes to lay down on her belly and really s-t-r-e-e-e-t-c-h until she can't possible stretch any more. We call it her ferret imitation. Sometimes she's stretched like that and has her front paws out in front of her and her head in between them. Then we call her "Supercat"!

She's silly and very cute! She has really helped fill the hole in my heart from losing Reina.

Here are a few pictures of my babies. They are brother and sister (Buddy and Savannah). They are in-separable.

I also have pictures of the kittens I have fostered for the Az Humane Society on my public page at:

Tell me what you think.

Thank you for more welcomes!

And, I'm so glad to see fellow Zonies here!

Michael, your kitties are adorable! It's so cute when they're such great friends. Are they siblings? And they each get their own recliners! What a life! By the way, where in Rocky Point did you take those pictures in your photo album? We always want to go there but have no idea where to stay!

Hi and welcome to TCS. This is a wonderful site with many caring people and a great place for help if needed. We all definitely love our furbabies! I also adopted all my cats from rescue situations. My gray and white boy (Douglas) lays like Shelly does most of the time . I have a picture of him doing this somewhere in here under fur pictures only. Anyway, Shelly is beautiful and so was Reina. I am sorry for your loss. Look forward to hearing from you in the future.
