My friends cat has fleas. He's taking care of the issue with flea baths and i think medication. Is it possible that I picked up some fleas while petting his cat before he started treatment, and brought them into my home and onto my cats? Theyre showing no outward signs like excessive biting and scratching or anything...neither am I for that matter. My instinct is that it's completely fine, but I dont know.

Fleas can hitch a ride on your clothes. They multiple rapidly though. You'll know if you have a problem!

This is correct. They like to travel in your luggage too!

Yes its possible. But unless the fleas are really hungry they go for the cat/dog first, people as last resort. Unless your friend had a REALLY heavy infestation, you should be ok.

I'd start flea combing the cats to be on the safe side.
