Seems as if my 5-month old kittens are getting their big teeth! I noticed they have started to rip apart toys and some other objects, so I checked their mouths and my girl (Christie) seems to suddenly have two teeth (fangs) growing out of the same spot (on each sides). My other 5-month old just has one on each side, like normal (I think he has his adult tooth, but I never noticed him having a double-fang like hers!) Is it okay/normal for a kitten to start having two sets of teeth at once?

You might want to have the vet look at it. Especially if it is the baby tooth still in there with the adult tooth, it may need pulled.

It's normal. Just keep an eye on them to make sure the baby teeth do get pushed out.

You may want to pick up a package of those fat, plastic straws. I had a number of them down for Bijou when he was teething. He loved to bite on them. When they got a bit chewed up, I simply put those in the garbage and gave him some new ones.

The straws are a great idea - thanks. I wish I had some right now for them... I'll keep checking their mouths and make sure the new teeth come in nicely.
