Okay, I have a cat who is 10 months old. My father has told me that my grandfather has caught her twice now peeing on the carpet in his part of the house, which I have a hard time believing, however, I was wondering what would cause this. They have two dogs, one of which pees everywhere, which i find disgusting, but it is not in my part of the house so I do not have to deal with it. Any input? Perhaps it is her marking her territory, or perhaps she sees the dogs do it, or smells the dogs and associates it with being okay?

Please help. I have never seen her do this.

She can smell the dog pee so she thinks it is ok to pee there.

Could be territorial cause the dogs do it, or imitationn.

But it also may be a UTI (infection) - so have her checked out by the vet first to be sure she's ok.

Maybe nothing, when my cat had a UTI (she's at the vet right now to check for another one
) her only symptom was urinating out of her box.
