Hi kitty friends. I've had a rough day.
When meowmy took me into the doctor's office I started growling to let them know I was not happy. Mika went with me and I even growled at her. She hissed back at me. We were early for my appointment so the receptionist lady let me, meowmy, sissy and Mika go into one of the examination rooms. Sissy held Mika and meowmy put me on the table and wrapped her shirt around me so I could hide. I calmed down a bit then. Mika was checking everything out, wanting to see everything. She wasn't the least bit scared or nervous - that's because she probably knew the doctor wasn't going to be examining her!
Then the nice lady doctor came in and hugged meowmy and said she was really happy to see her again. She was so nice I didn't even growl or anything at her. This is the lady doctor that saw me when I was just a baby and then she moved to another animal hospital and my meowmy just found her again. Meowmy put me on the scale for the doctor - 8.8 kg. WOWSER!
I got needles and I was a good boy - I didn't even flinch. The doctor checked my teeth and told meowmy I need to have them cleaned. There is some redness at the gum line and my back teeth are pretty nasty. She gave meowmy an estimate to come home and think about. $477.00 She said they were giving folks a break and only charging cost - that normally the cleaning is about $650. Meowmy told Purrpa that they will do the cleaning.
Meowmy is cutting my dry food back to 1/3 cup per day. She was doing that and I lost some weight, then Purrpa starting feeding me and is giving me too much so now he is going to give me much less.
Since I got home I've just been laying around and being lazy. I didn't even cry to go outside. Meowmy has been giving me lots of lovin'. The doctor said Mika and I have to have some deworming pills because I go outside. She gave Mika a new kind (Milbemax) and I have to take Drontil. The doctor said the Milbemax is only good for kitties up to 8 kg.
