Of course this car has been though 3 different moves across 4 different states so it's understandable. I think it's time to finally get myself a new car though. For the most part this one is still in great shape, except last week the air conditioning went out and it $700 to get it fixed. Not a great thing in Texas with 90 degree weather but I've decided I would rather have that money go towards something newer, with a few less years and a few less miles on it. So the fun car shopping has begun.
A 2001 Mercury, Sabel (silver). It's got 68,776 miles on it. (i had to go look.) It's a really good car, runs well, never gives me any issues really and it's decient on gas milage. Right now though it's sitting in my garage waiting for the insurance adjuster to come look at it and see how much this wreck is going to cost
Colin has a red Ford Ranger. It's 9 yrs old i think, not sure how many miles are on it. It is sooooo reliable though- it runs pretty well and it never seems to have any issues. I really love Fords because they just last for ages. I also like the fact that they're American made, and depending on the model/etc - usually pretty good quality/etc.
'92 Honda Accord with 90,000 miles. I only live about 5 miles from work, and I really never go anywhere but to and from work. I absolutely love that car!
I drive a 92 Acura Integra LS. It has 185,500 miles on it and runs like a beaut. We drive it about 60 miles round-trip everyday to/from work. We've driven it to New Jersey once, and always take it on road trips. We bought it in January '07 with 167,000 on it, so that shows you how much we drive!
We also have:
87 Pontiac Fiero GT with 97,000 miles
84 Chevy Camaro Z28 with a "new" engine that has 89,000 on it (the original engine from 84 had 116,000 on it when we took it out, its in my brothers car now)
86 Chevy Monte Carlo without an engine. It had about 180,000 on the original engine.
I don't drive, but the car my family uses the most is a 1984 Dodge caravan with stylish wood paneling. I don't remember how many kms are on it, although we recently hit 300,000 or something ridiculous like that.
My DH drives my "old" S10 1999 with 80,000 miles on it.
I gave it to him after he bought me a 2007 Corolla. It gets better gas mileage. I drove it off the lot in October 2006 with 9 miles on it. Now it has 15,000.
I have a 2000 Ford Taurus. It has 212,000 miles on it right now. I bought it for practically nothing from my dad's buisness 2 years ago, it had 170,000 miles on it at the time. Mostly highway miles. It's still in great shape and runs like new despite the high miles. I haven't had any trouble with it. I do plan on buying something newer soon though.
