This morning, on a pile of papers, we found our cat licking it's own barf! We think this may be because it plays with paper, and it might've eaten some. We're probably gonna take it to the vet, and suggestions on what to do?

If it doesn't happen again, I wouldn't worry too much. If it does I would question what he's eating and drinking.

That's just a wonderful, unknowable world of animals thing. It's not uncommon.... though gross for human viewers.

Our cat Spici has actually ate her own barf & our other cats barf. She likes dry food moistened with water so the barf looked tasty...eww! She doesn't do it anymore though.

If your cat starts to lick/eat its own barf, take your cat away from it, and then clean it up immediately after. There is probably nothing wrong with your cat, they eat barf at times...just keep a close eye on your cat, there may or may not be anything wrong. You should be able to tell if your cat is not feeling good. It may of just wanted to taste it...
