wheening kittens from mom????

I had to take the kittens from the mom because she was puking up worms and her food so I had to give her med's. Now the mom is really swollen and feels like she's about to burst. It's been about 5 days since I did this. Is there anything i can do to make the swelling go down?

It's her teats that are swelling? Are they hot or hard to the touch? If so, get her to a vet. She may have mastitis which is serious. It's an infection in the milk ducts (I think) that could kill her. It should be easy to clear up with antibiotics, but she should see a vet.

Why did you tke the kittens away if the mom has worms? The kittens will need dewormed too. Most kittens are born with worms. Just deworm them all and let them be. Kittens can be dewormed young. how old are they? Mom usually does the weaning on her own.
