I admit it...I love a good sale at my favorite grocery store

My local Safeway remodeled and just did a "Grand Re-Opening" though they never closed
I suspect it is to counter the interest in the new Winco up the road, and the new Walmart SuperStore, also just up the road from them.

We could sign up for 10% off all orders (with use of club card) for the next 60 days, used multiple coupons for $1 to $2 off various items (like organic salad greens), took advantage of their special promotion of certain tagged items where you could get up to $20 taken off your order depending on how many of such items you purchased), and they had sales going on, including for the next week, a per centage off any of their O Organics line.

We saved approx. $120 !! and got two free Grande sized Starbucks drinks

Ohhh i love a good sale! Especially when it's for things we need, like groceries! It really helps me save money and plan ahead for my meals
My sister Kimmy and I go do our grocery shopping together twice a month- lol we leave her kiddos with my brother in law, and take our sales papers/cupons with us and brave the crowds at the stores

Sounds like a good way to do it. I had everything organized, and we both did one cart so we could checkout with our club cards...didn't win an Ipod though...

I love grocery shopping!
I always get what I don't need & forget what I do need!

I need to go shopping for groceries....I realized after I got home from work there's almost no food left.

There's no place like home
Oooo, I love a good sale! I rarely pay full price for anything unless we are completely out of an item at home. I have a lot of cabinet and freezer space so stock up on sale items when I can.

My store has the tag that they scan to get you the discount and the receipt shows what you saved each trip. One time my bill came to about $50, and the discount was over $60 that day. I got so excited that I saved more than half!

There's nothing boring about saving money! Wish we could save anywhere near that much -- you must be quite a pro in the shopping dept.! Out here, groceries cost so much it's unbelievable -- for one person, I try to get by on $100 or less a week, and I'm pretty much vegetarian again, and don't buy much prepared food!

Saw "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio" last night -- now THERE is a story about someone who really knew her way around a contest!

I'll have to look that up. I'm okay with using sales, my club card for extra discounts, but nowhere near as good as serious couponer's etc. This was my best ever for saving money
and WA state is pretty expensive too.
