My poor little fella. I just came home for my lunch break a few minutes ago and when i was passing out kitty treats i noticed Kojak was limping on one of his front legs. I have no idea what happened- i noticed last night that he was holding it up a little bit then, so i checked him over and didn't feel any signs of a break/etc. He wasn't limping really last night- just holding it up a bit. Today though he's limping on it. No sign of any cuts/ or anything like that so the only thing i can figure is maybe he fell from a short distance off some furnature and didn't correct his body in time for the landing? He doesn't seem to be in pain - just a bit of discomfort.

I think it may be something minor that's just sore...no swelling or any thing like that. So i'm going to wait and see if he's any better by the end of the weekend. (the vet will be closed by the time i get off work). If he's still limping come the new week, i'm going to take him in to the vet. Bless his little heart- i have no idea what he did
Would ya'll mind sparing a few "feel better soon" vibes for Kojak that it's nothing major and just a little sore leg.

Maybe he has a thistle or something stuck in his paw.

Thanks you guys. I am hoping it's just something really minor that heals itself over the weekend. I just got back home from work a little while ago and he's still limping a little bit so i'm watching him like a hawk. I gave him some medicine for pain as a precaution and put a cold wrap on his leg for a few minutes and held him- so hopefully that will help. It's definitely not broken- i examined it a little better. I do think it could be just a bad internal bruise or a little sprain. If he's no better by monday though, i'm making a vet appointment for the little fella.

Sending vibes that it's just a sprain from tearing around the house or landing on it the wrong way.
Thanks Linda. I put a cold compress on him when i got home from work so hopefully that will help him a bit. I really just hope that it's something simple that heals itself - he probably got hurt rough housing or jumping around like a goof ball.

Nabu was sore a couple days ago on one leg, but he's fine now. We think he was rough-housing and bumped himself. I hope that's all Kojak did.
I'm glad Nabu (cute name!) wound up being ok!
I'm thinking Kojak eithor hurt his leg rough housing or had a short fall from something.

He's indoors only- so he's not around anything like thistle that could be stuck in his paw. It's actually more around his elbow area where he's holding his paw up and doing the limping. No sign of cuts or anything of that nature- so that makes me think it could be from a fall (he's really clumsy)

Thanks guys. He's snuggled up with Fosters on the couch by me and they're watching "Cops"
he's been grooming himself like normal but when he stretches out to clean his little paw he does it weird. I'm going to put another cold compress tonight on it and just keep an eye on it. I think i'm going to take him to the vet this comming week just to be safe if he's not any better by monday.

Wishing I were anywhere but here
Make sure it's not an injury that later turns into arthritis. Tedi injured his paw years ago landing wrong and now that he's older he has arthritis so every now and then he will limp and not put any pressure on it.
I hope Kojak feels better soon! Poor guy!
