Hi Fellow furbaby parents..

We will soon be adopting two kittens from my brothers cat.

We used to have a bichon puppy living with us but he has since moved to a new home (long story-husband has since moved to a new home too, with puppy).

I am wondering if I should have my carpets cleaned to remove any puppy smells from in the house that the baby kittens may smell??
Bichons are hypoallergenic so there is no hair from him around.
Or is this a non-issue?

Thanks much!

Unless the puppy has peed or pooped on the carpet, I don't see why you would really need to clean it. But if you want a "fresh" start, have it done professionally - and tell them you have pets (or will) so they don't use any cleaner that could be harmful to the kittens.

I wouldn't fret too much.. Like GoldenKitty said,, unless the puppy peed or poo'd on the carpet, I wouldn't worry about it..

yes he did have a few accidents..so I guess cleaning would be good. I have cleaned it myself with my shampoo'er for carpets -pet safe cleaner of course....
