screaming kitty

My husband and I recently adopted an 8 week old kitten, 3 deays ago to be exact, and he has not stopped meowing since we got him. He constantly meows, i mean constantly. He walks around aimlessly meowing. The only time he stops is when he's sleeping or if we hold him. And its not a tiny kitten meow, its a loud screaming meow, which is a problem because we live in apartments with paper thin walls.

Any ideas for calming the kitty down? We would like to get some sleep and I want him to be happy!

Hmm maybe your kittie is missing him mummy and so sees you as his new mum to which he should be asleep with
Could you take him to bed with you?he will not only be missing his mum but he has also lost all his brothers and sisters he used to play with
