About a week ago my mom took Lexi to the vet because she was running back and forth to the bathroom about 3-5 times within 10 mins and going very little. They could not get a urine sample from her and so administered antibiotics for a UTI.
Tonight, she has started running back and forth to the litter box about 7-8 times within a 15 mins time span and going very little again. She is still on the antibiotics so I would have thought it would have been better by now.
Does she have a UTI? Or is it something else? I will call to try to get her in on Saturday, but would appreciate any advice if anyone has any ideas.

It's possible it's something else... but there's a good chance it's just a stubborn UTI or one that needs a different antibiotic. It'd be a good idea to talk to the vet again.

She is likely in pain... and needs either a new anitbiotic or further testing

I had some antibiotics leftover besides the one they gave us for a UTI so I will see if that will help any and hope I can get her in on Saturday.
