My Bob had soft poo stuck to his underside and tail last night, so I had to give him an emergency bath. I was lucky that he didn't attack, but I'm not sure I did it right. I did have cat shampoo on hand and put him into the tub. I live alone so I was trying to keep him in the tub, put the soap on him and get the water to the right temp. I finally had to hold his rear under the running water. Is there a better or easier way to do this in the future?

I love the hand held shower head for rinsing. You should have a mat on the bottom so they don't slip and just use a firm hand on their shoulders to pin them down and rinse.

There are bath threads in this section on how to do it step by step.

It sounds like you did ok with him! If he gets poo on his butt again you could try running a few inches of warm water for him to sit in while you're washing. It'll get the poo off easier. Have a bucket or tub of warm rinse water ready beside you with a couple gallons warm water and 2-3 tablespoons of white vinegar in it. It will help rinse out the soap and help to restore ph.
